River Winds standing with instruments
What is River Winds ?
River Winds is a woodwind quintet consisting of Patricia Jo Webb flute, Trudy Phillips oboe, Ronnie Logan clarinet, John Phillips alto-clarinet, and David Long bassoon.

What kind of music do we play ?
Paraphrasing the words of Louis Armstrong -- "There is only two kinds of music, the good and the bad. We play the good kind." Which is to say that we enjoy a wide, eclectic range of music (The Music Listing tab has a detailed list).

Where do you play ?
As a woodwind quintet, we are best suited to medium sized, intimate settings. This includes dinner parties, receptions, special church services, etc.

How long have you been performing ?
River Winds has been performing together for over 4 years.

What did you do with the French horn ?
Our "woodwinds only" ensemble started out of need, but we have come to prefer our distinctive sound.

How do I contact River Winds ?
Send an email to RiverWinds@jtphillips.com. This will reach either John Phillips or Patricia Jo Webb.

Are you on Facebook ?
Yes, you can reach us on Facebook as well at

We truly have a wide, eclectic range of music. See if you find something of interest.
